Teddy Skye Garcia

Founder and Executive Director

he/him/his 

Teddy Skye Garcia is a gender non-conforming transmasculine speaker, performer, and community advocate. He started TRANScend Youth to help create a better, more welcoming world for young trans and gender diverse people. Teddy's dream is to one day bring TRANScend Youth across the globe. He also performs in a barbershop chorus. 

Steven Solomon

Steven is a partner and co-founder of 7 Red Hills Consulting,
which works with nonprofits, government, and educational institutions.
 He has been writing grants for well over 20 years. and He has been the Director of Grants and Special Projects at Tallahassee Community College, and was the Executive Director of the Florida Juvenile Justice Foundation.

Loree Gold

Loree is a multi-award-winning creative with extensive experience as a writer/producer for all sorts of televised media. A member of the LGBTQ+ community, she has written and produced songs for pop and R&B artists and film scores, and has a diverse history in advertising with an emphasis on brand development and strategy.

Brian Feinstien

Board of Directors

Brian is the creator and director of the FeinLine Musical Theatre
Academy, educating students in music composition and creation for the stage. Brian's compositions have earned him rave reviews
in The New York Times, six ASCAP Plus Awards, a Jonathan Larson Fellowship and the Anna Sosenko Trust Award. He began his career at the USC School of Cinematic Arts and completed his master’s at NYU’s Tisch Graduate Musical
Theatre Writing Program. As director of the FeinLine Musical Theatre Academy, he works with youth throughout New York City.

Kim Dallape

Kim is an educator in the Oxnard Union Unifed School District, and has 36 years of education experience. She is a Board Member of BRITE, a nonprofit focused on supporting youth and young adults aged 12-25 in education, advocacy training, diversity & inclusion, and mental wellness. Educated at UCLA, she is a resident of Camarillo and Ventura County and an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.

Edgar Euan

 Board of Directors

Edgar Euan is the Community Outreach Coordinator for Diversity Collective, the largest LGBTQ+ organization in Ventura County. Born and raised in Ventura County to immigrant parents, Edgar witnessed the inequities and day to day struggles of the most marginalized communities and has used it as motivation for his work. Edgar is a highly requested motivational and psychoeducational speaker. 

Jim Byrnes

Jim Byrnes is an actor, director and writer who has appeared on stages and screens across the US. He has worked on shows with the Theater of the Seventh Sister, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, Maryland Shakespeare Festival, Young Artists Ensemble and Young Artists Forever. He has performed in venues as varied as the American Shakespeare Center's replica Blackfriars Playhouse and on the bed of a rusted-out pickup truck at the Philadelphia Zoo. Bits of him can be seen in the background of the Tom Cruise film War of the Worlds and the short-lived CBS tv series Hack. The production of Love's Labours Lost that he directed in 2018 for YAF won the Broadway World Award for best musical in the entire Los Angeles region that year, inexplicably beating out such high-profile fare as the Hollywood Bowl's concert version of Annie. 

Victoria Sayeg-Carr

Victoria is the current Director of Performing Arts, Project Coordinator at BRITE: Building Resilience and Inclusion Through Engagement. She is a published playwright and director whose work has been performed nationwide and has worked with youth in nonprofit community theatre settings for years. As Project Coordinator at BRITE, she leads workshops and hosts events with youth ages 12-25 on topics such as mental health, diversity and inclusion, and LGBTQ+ issues.

Ryley Ratacjzack

Social Media Director

she/her/hers

Ryley has been acting as TRANScend's Social Media Director since it's founding. With a passion for photography, she is also the organizations event photographer, capturing many of the beautiful images you can see in the Gallery.
